Right to be forgotten (RTBF) request

As a data privacy feature, the right to be forgotten (RTBF) function is available in the SecureAuth Identity Store.

The right to be forgotten (RTBF) request allows the removal of a private information from the Identity Store directory. As an admin, you can process the the RTBF request on behalf of the user.

Processing RTBF request as an admin

As an admin with the right privileges, you can process the RTBF request on the user's behalf.

  1. In the Identity Platform, from the left side of the page, click Identity Store.

  2. Open (edit) the identity store to which the user belongs.

  3. Find the user identity and use any of the following methods to process the RTBF request:


    User is leaving the company; you could first change their status to Deactivated and then process the RTBF request to remove all private information about the user.

    • From the list, select the check box on the left > Bulk Actions > Request RTBF.

    • From the list, click the horizontal three dots menu icon on the right > Request RTBF.

    • From the list, click the name of the user to open the user page > Actions > Request RTBF.

  4. Confirm the request.

    The user receives an email confirmation about removal of their private data from the identity store database.
