Set up SecureAuth Agent Authority: add a resource, create a policy, connect an agent, and watch its first tool call land in the audit log.
In about 20 minutes of admin time, you'll connect a resource, write a policy, connect an agent, and watch its first tool call land in the audit log. By the end you'll have a working gateway — authenticating every agent, deciding what it can do, and recording the result.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- A SecureAuth Agent Authority tenant and administrator account.
- Administrative access to your AI platform (such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot).
- Administrative access to any applications or resources you plan to connect.
- The appropriate IT administrators available during the initial setup.
Note: Administrative access is only required during initial setup. Ongoing administration and testing use the SecureAuth tenant administrator account provided by SecureAuth.
You don't need to set up identity first. Your workspace ships with its own identity pool, so you can sign in and work through all four steps immediately — see Identity and sign-in for where users come from and how to add them.
Getting a tenant
Tenants are provisioned by SecureAuth. Contact your SecureAuth account team, or request access, to have one set up before you start.
The four steps
1. Add resources
Connect the MCP servers your agents will call.
2. Create a policy
Decide which agents can use which tools.
3. Connect an agent
Point Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or Codex at the gateway.
4. Monitor activity
Watch tool calls flow through the dashboard and audit log.
