Connect Microsoft Copilot Studio to Agent Authority
Connect Microsoft Copilot Studio to SecureAuth Agent Authority
Microsoft's low-code platform for building Copilot agents with MCP tool support. Once connected, agents built in Copilot Studio reach every tool your organization has approved through a single governed endpoint — every call authenticated, policy-checked, and audited.
Setup
-
Open your agent — On copilotstudio.microsoft.com, open the agent you want to extend.
-
Add a Model Context Protocol tool — Go to Tools → New tool → Model Context Protocol.
-
Configure the MCP server — Fill the form:
- Server name:
SecureAuth AI Gateway - Server URL:
https://your-gateway-url/gateway/mcp - Authentication: OAuth 2.0
- Type: Dynamic discovery
Submit to auto-generate the Power Platform custom connector.
- Server name:
-
Create a connection — In the Connection dropdown click Create new connection, then Create, and complete the SecureAuth consent (Allow access).
-
Add and configure — Once the connection shows as Connected, click Add and configure. The Tools panel will populate with the MCP catalog.
The agent is auto-registered on first connect.
Connecting to just one MCP?To stay under an agent's tool limit, point the URL at a single MCP —
/gateway/mcp/{slug}instead of/gateway/mcp. Grab the exact URL from the resource's detail page; see Scope a connection to one MCP.
Next steps
- Create a policy — control which tools these agents can call.
- Monitor activity — watch their tool calls appear in the dashboard and audit log.
- Audit log — filter and search every tool call these agents make.
