Connect Microsoft Copilot Studio to Agent Authority

When you finish, every MCP tool call your Microsoft Copilot Studio agent makes is checked against your policies and recorded in the audit log. Copilot Studio agents reach your approved tools through SecureAuth Agent Authority, added as an MCP tool.

1. Open your agent. On copilotstudio.microsoft.com, open the agent you want to extend.

2. Add a Model Context Protocol tool. Go to Tools → New tool → Model Context Protocol.

3. Configure the MCP server. Fill the form:

   • Server name: SecureAuth AI Gateway
   • Server URL: https://your-gateway-url/gateway/mcp
   • Authentication: OAuth 2.0
   • Type: Dynamic discovery

   Submit to auto-generate the Power Platform custom connector.

4. Create a connection. In the Connection dropdown click Create new connection, then Create, and complete the SecureAuth consent (Allow access).

5. Add and configure. Once the connection shows as Connected, click Add and configure. The Tools panel will populate with the MCP catalog.

   The agent is auto-registered on first connect.

Connecting to just one MCP? To stay under an agent's tool limit, point the URL at a single MCP — /gateway/mcp/{slug} instead of /gateway/mcp. Grab the exact URL from the resource's detail page; see Scope a connection.
