View GUID added to the X-Request-ID header

By default, SecureAuth RADIUS now adds the globally unique identifier (GUID) to the authentication API X-Request-ID header for each request made to the SecureAuth® Identity Platform. This matches requests in SecureAuth RADIUS logs (saRadiusServer.log and audit.log) with requests in the Identity Platform log (audit.log) for the same session.

Admins needing to search the Identity Platform log file for a specific user during the same session can do so by using the GUID.

No additional changes to SecureAuth RADIUS Server or the Identity Platform are needed.

Location of logs

Find the GUID in the following locations. The GUIDs will match for the same sessions.

  • The SecureAuth RADIUS Server logs, saRadiusServer.log and audit.log, display the GUID as follows, where the GUID is fc8d7b23-c7a4-4cd2-8bb5-1a1ccee902ff and highlighted in blue:

  • The Identity Platform audit.log displays the GUID with a prefix of BrowserSession=, as follows, where the GUID is fc8d7b23-c7a4-4cd2-8bb5-1a1ccee902ff and highlighted in blue:
