SessionGuardian Desktop deployment process

Follow these steps to deploy SessionGuardian Desktop and activate user profiles. This process involves IT/Desktop admins, SessionGuardian admins, and end users.

Create user profile

Provide the Windows username and device name for the end user

Configure the user profile in the SessionGuardian Admin Console with the provided details.

Distribute SessionGuardian Desktop

Push the SessionGuardian Desktop Installer (.MSI) to end user devices using:

  • Group policy

  • Software distribution tool

  • Remote administration

Install SessionGuardian Desktop

Install SG Desktop using the .MSI installer via:

  • Group policy

  • Software distribution tool

  • Remote administration

Specify the SessionGuardian Console Server URL during installation.

Start SessionGuardian Desktop

Log in to Windows on the device.

Verify profile status

Confirm the user profile status is "Not Invited" in the SG Admin Console.

Initiate photo registration

Send a Photo Registration Invitation Email to the end user.

Click the registration link in the email.

Submit profile photo

Use the webcam to submit a profile photo.

Verify activation

Confirm the user profile status is "Registered" or "Online".

Ensure SessionGuardian Desktop is active and startup checks are completedl
