MindTickle SAML integration

MindTickle supports continuous skills development. It allows you to quickly pinpoint sales skills gaps and assign simulated sales scenarios and virtual sales role-play to improve selling skills. This gives your sales reps the confidence they need to handle any sales situation successfully.

Arculix by SecureAuth, offers a simple method for adding MFA to MindTickle via its SAML solution.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an extra layer of security used when logging into websites or apps. Individuals are authenticated through more than one required security and validation procedure that only they know or have access to.

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is a protocol for authenticating to web applications. SAML allows federated apps and organizations to communicate and trust one another’s users.

Prerequisites

  • Configured Arculix instance and user account with administrative privileges for Arculix.

  • Configured Arculix LDAP Agent.

  • User account with administrative privileges for MindTickle.

MindTickle configuration

In this section, you'll configure MindTickle as a service provider (SP).

  1. Download the SAML metadata and certificate for your organization from Arculix.

  2. Log in to the MindTickle admin console with an administrative account.

  3. In the top right corner, select the More icon, then click Account settings.

  4. On the Account Settings page, select the Security and integrations tab.

  5. In the Single Sign On section, do the following: move the slider to ON to enable single sign on and select SAML SSO.

    1. Move the slider to ON to enable single sign on.

    2. Select the SAML SSO tab.

    3. For Upload Identity Provider Meta File, click Select File and select the Arculix metadata file that you downloaded in Step 1.

    4. Set the Signature Algorithm to RSA-SHA256.

    5. Click Download Meta Data.

      You will need the MindTickle metadata for the Arculix side of the configuration.

    6. Click Activate SSO.

Arculix SAML configuration as an Identity Provider (IdP)

In this section, you'll add an application for MindTickle and set the SAML configuration settings. This will represent the Identity Provider (IdP) side of the configuration.

  1. Log in to Arculix with an administrative account and go to Applications.

  2. Click Create New Application.

  3. In the New Application form, on the General tab, set the following configurations:

    Name 

    Set the name of the application. This is the name to display for push notifications, in the Admin panel, Application portal, and audit logs.

    For example, MindTickle.

    Type 

    Set to SAML Service Provider.

    Out of Band Methods 

    Select the allowed methods end users can choose to approve MFA requests.

    For example, Arculix Mobile app (push notifications), SMS, or Security Key.

    Message for MFA Requests 

    Optional. Type a message displayed to end users when sending an MFA request via push notification, SMS, or email.

  4. Select the SAML Service Provider Configuration tab, and set the following configurations:

    Issuer or Entity ID 

    Paste the Entity ID from the downloaded MindTickle metadata file.

    For example, 123456_mindtickle

    Log in URL 

    Paste the User Log in URL from the downloaded MindTickle metadata file.

    For example, https://yourcompany.mindtickle.com

    NameID Format 

    Set to Unspecified.

    Name Identifier 

    Set to Email.

    ACS URL 

    Paste the ACS URL from the downloaded MindTickle metadata file.

    For example, https://yourcompany.mindtickle,com/login/ssosaml

    Single Logout URL

    (Optional) Paste the Single Logout URL from the downloaded MindTickle metadata file.

    Algorithm

    Set to RSA-SHA256.

    Certificate 

    (Optional) Paste the Service Provider Certificate from the downloaded MindTickle metadata file.

  5. Scroll down to the Asserted Attributes section, click Add New Attribute Assertion and create an email attribute like the following example.

  6. Save your changes.

Test your application integration

  1. From your browser, go to your MindTickle company URL and click Continue with Company ID.

  2. You will be redirected to the Arculix SSO page.

  3. After successful authentication, select your preferred MFA method to approve access to the MindTickle application.

  4. You will be redirected and logged in to MindTickle.
