SecureAuth offers two hardware appliance models and two virtual appliance models for running SecureAuth IdP software.

Installation requirements

Each appliance model is 1U rack-mountable with a standard rack width:

  • The standard appliance can be installed in a two- or four-post rack

  • The advanced appliance comes with a rail kit and is intended to be installed in a four-post rack

Physical resource requirements

  • Physical appliances require 1 power connection (2 for the High Availability model)

  • 1 Data cable drop (minimum) - There are two Gigabit Network interfaces included with both physical appliance types which can be teamed or used with a NLB Configuration

Virtual appliance models

Virtual appliance models include Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2012 R2.

Windows Server 2016

  • Windows Server 2016 Standard / Windows Server 2016 with FISMA OS hardening

  • Hypervisors supported:

    • VMware hardware version vmx-13 on hosts running ESXi 6.5

    • MS Hyper-V

    • Citrix Xen Server 5.6+

  • 2 CPUs (2.0 Ghz min)

  • 4 GB pre-configured, 8 GB minimum RAM recommended

  • 70 GB storage capacity (default max size)
