Upgrade, v20.06

Use the following steps to upgrade your SecureAuth IdP RADIUS server to v20.06.

For optimum performance, especially for large enterprises, install the SecureAuth RADIUS server separately from the IdP or Identity Platform server. If in doubt, contact SecureAuth Support.

  1. Back up the appliance.radius.properties file.

  2. Install the SecureAuth® Identity Platform RADIUS Server, v20.06.

  3. Validate RADIUS v20.06 installed successfully.

  4. If upgrading from RADIUS v1.0.x, disable the RADIUS v1.0.x Windows service "SecureAuthRadiusService2" in the Windows Services console (services.msc).

NOTES:

  • RADIUS v1.0.x configuration data is not retained or used by RADIUS v20.06.

  • The RADIUS v20.06 installer will not overwrite the "SecureAuthRadiusService2" Windows service since the RADIUS v2.4 or earlier Windows service uses the service name "secureauthRadius".
