SecureAuth error registering the user's computer

Symptom

When using Internet Explorer to enroll for a certificate (native, not java), the following error message appears after entering the One-Time-Registration code: "SecureAuth has encountered an error registering your computer. Please close your browser and try again." When hovering the cursor over this message, the dialogue box shows this message: "SecureAuth Error Code 0"

Cause

This could be caused by any of the following: RSA container is corrupt–Private Key Corruption, ActiveX failure, Corrupt Profile

Resolution

Solution

See Private Key Corruption - SecureAuth Error Code 0 error cleanup.

Workaround

If there is a mobile PFX realm for this implementation, go to that realm to download and install the certificate manually in your browser.
